Many buildings viewed as art

I appreciated Bob Wyckoff’s Oct. 7 article about our local art deco/art moderne treasures of the Nevada County Courthouse and the Nevada City Hall. These can be tourist attractions as well as the Gold Rush era structures.

But Nevada County has other art deco buildings, too. Particularly striking is the old Miner’s Clinic, now the California College of Ayurveda, at 700 Zion St. It’s worth a visit, both to appreciate the architecture (especially around the right, entrance side) and the nice interior remodel recently undertaken by the College.
