Man missing for two weeks

A Nevada County man who has not been seen or heard from by family and friends for two weeks has been officially listed as missing.

Mark Beyers, 46, was reported missing by his mother on Friday night after she called friends of his who said they did not know where he was and had not recently seen him. Sheriff’s deputies checked his residence on Maben Road in south Nevada County but found nothing suspicious at the house.

“No one has heard from him,” said Lt. Jeff Powell of the Sheriff’s Office. “The mother last heard from him two weeks ago.”

Beyers mother told authorities that her son has limited vision, suffers from depression and may have wandered away from his residence. Anyone who has seen him should call the Sheriff’s Office at 265-7880.
