Local woman back in the slammer on new drug charges

A Grass Valley woman out of custody after a December arrest landed back in Nevada County jail on new drug charges.

Danelle Lorene Madonna, 24, was arrested by Nevada County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force members at her Grass Valley home Wednesday.

“She had a prior arrest and was out of custody with search and seizure terms,” said Sheriff’s Sgt. Bill Smethers.

When officers served the search warrant at the Park Avenue address, they allegedly found pay-owe sheets, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale and 5 grams of methamphetamine.

Madonna was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and committing a felony while out on bail or her own recognizance. She was released on $72,000 bail.

A man who also was at the residence, Landon Kehn, 22, was arrested on suspicion of having three outstanding warrants – driving on a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance and probation violation.

Madonna’s prior arrest was on suspicion of selling methamphetamine, harboring a wanted felon and child endangerment.

A search of the residence at that time allegedly found methamphetamine packaging materials and scales, as well as a small amount of meth, marijuana and some prescription narcotics.
