Local health career club receives $10K

The Nevada County Superintendent of Schools has received a $9,936 program improvement grant for its Nevada County Health Career Club from the Sierra Health Foundation in Sacramento.

The Health Career Club promotes awareness and interest in health professions and supports campus and community service projects and volunteer opportunities in healthcare.

The Sierra Health Foundation is committed to helping the youth in the greater Sacramento area succeed by promoting participation in quality programs and activities and providing opportunities for young people to develop leadership and decision-making skills.
