Local CDF votes to endorse Sutherland

Nevada County District 4 supervisorial candidate Robin Sutherland won the support of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection’s local chapter.

“After careful consideration, CDF Firefighters of the Nevada-Yuba-Placer Chapter unanimously approved the endorsement of Robin Sutherland …” according to a statement issued by President Tom Gardner.

Sutherland said she’s honored to be endorsed by the firefighters and strongly supports the fire-and-rescue services they provide.

Sutherland is running against incumbent Elizabeth Martin and challengers Rene Antonson, Michael Harris and Bill Steele.

The endorsement came from the rank-and-file union of California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection firefighters, not from CDF itself.

CDF does not endorse candidates or ballot measures.
