Lincoln woman killed in crash

The woman killed Friday in a Highway 49 crash south of Nevada County has been identified as Doris Brubaker of Lincoln, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The 48-year-old was driving a 1999 Honda Accord at about 4 p.m. Friday when the accident occurred. Brubaker was trying to turn from Joeger Road north onto the highway, when she pulled out in front of a southbound 1999 Toyota Solera, driven by 21-year-old Adrianne Martin of Grass Valley, CHP officials said.

Brubaker was pronounced dead at the scene. A 1-year-old in the Accord, Anastacia O’Neal, was in a back-seat child seat and was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with unknown injuries. Martin is 7 months pregnant and was taken to Sutter Roseville with abdominal abrasions and several cuts and bruises. Passenger Rachel Snell, 27, of Grass Valley, was taken to the hospital with a complaint of pain.

Alcohol was not believed to have been a factor in the crash, and everyone involved was wearing a seat belt, CHP reported.

The crash blocked the highway for more than an hour.
