Library to host Teen ‘lock-in’

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be in the library after hours?

Would you like to meet authors like Marissa Meyer (“The Lunar Chronicles”), Claudia Gray (“The Evernight Series”) or Cecil Castellucci (“Tin Star,” “The Year of the Beasts,” “The Plain Janes”)?

Are you a teen in sixth through 12th grade?

If yes, join the Madelyn Helling Library from 6 p.m. to midnight Aug. 1 as they celebrate the end of summer with activities including Skype chats with authors, games (including a national photo scavenger hunt and Magic the Gathering), movies and food.

Sign up at Madelyn Helling Library, Grass Valley Library, Bear River Station, or Penn Valley Station or online at http://www.mynevadacounty.com/nc/library and select the library events calendar.

Doors lock at 6:30 p.m. and will remain locked until midnight. Participants must have a ride home at midnight.

The National Teen Lock-in 2014 is free to the public. For additional information, contact the children’s room at Madelyn Helling Library 530-265-1538.
