Library book sale set for Saturday

The Friends of the Nevada County Library’s next monthly book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, at the Doris Foley Historical Library, 211 N. Pine St., Nevada City. Most books cost between 25 cents and $3.

Thousands of paperback and hardback books are included: fiction, nonfiction, children’s, and collectible, among others. This month’s sale features books on the theater, movies, television and cookbooks. For additional information, call 530-265-1407 or friends@ncfol.org.

Event organizers are urging the community to donate their gently used books at any Nevada County library branch or outside Raley’s grocery in Grass Valley. They said this is a “great way to support your local libraries.”

Proceeds of the book sale go toward library materials, programs and equipment. The public can also get really great deals on like-new books, organizers said.
