Laura Stack

A private remembrance memorial will be held for Laura “Polly” Stack, to celebrate her life. Mrs. Stack passed away June 15 in Grass Valley. She was 89.

Mrs. Stack was born March 13, 1918, to Edwin Hodger Hull and Laura Loomis Hull, in Connecticut. She went on to graduate from the Juilliard Conservatory of Music, in New York, and on July 3, 1949, she married Garrett Marshall Stack Sr.



Mrs. Stack is survived by her sons Peter L. Stack of Grass Valley, Taylor L. Stack of Fallon, Nev., and Roland E. Stack of Hanford; seven grandchildren and their spouses; nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garrett Marshall Stack Jr.; daughter, Sallie Lackey; and son, Garrett Marshall Stack III.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
