The Gebur family wishes to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Quail Ridge Assisted Living and Hospice of the Foothills for the wonderful loving care provided to our mother Virginia Gebur during her recent passing.

During the past year, the staff at Quail became like family to mom, and we are so grateful to each of them. When her time grew short, we asked Hospice to come to Quail Ridge and manage her pain and other needs. We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Brad Miller and all the Hospice staff. The Quail/ Hospice team attended to all her needs and kept her very comfortable during her final days.

A very big thank you to The Alternative Fitness Center in Penn Valley for hosting a “Zumba Love” event at Gateway Park in support of Sammie’s Friends. It was a fun and a very successful event. Much appreciation to Caroll Christy, owner of The Alternative Fitness Center. Sammie’s Friends is very grateful to all the Zumba instructors that volunteered their time. It was a beautiful day for Zumba and Sammie’s Friends.

Thank you to the lady who found our dog running down Ridge Road on Sept. 23 and took her to Grass Valley Vet. She got away when we stumbled into a yellowjacket nest. Thank you, also, to Grass Valley Vets for contacting us and keeping her overnight. We were so afraid she was gone for good and didn’t get the phone message she was safe, left at 5 p.m., until 9:30 p.m., when we came in from searching. Thank you again to everyone!
