Kudos for foster homes

The outpouring of support for our recent plea for foster homes was astounding.

This is a wonderful community with a wonderful community newspaper that when it sees a need, fills it. We received so many calls from good people offering their home and we have promises for the future for temporary (what we call foster) homes for our rescued dogs.

Bless everyone who stepped up. All three dogs are in loving good foster homes now.

Recently we rescued two dogs that were in danger of immediate death from a nearby shelter that was over full (compounded by the housing problems and people losing their homes and jobs). We knew these two dogs were sick but we had no idea how sick until we saw them. Both are in quarantine at Pine Creek vet now and one has pneumonia with both lungs are full of fluid. Living on the streets with no care can turn a simple ailment into a life threatening illness for a dog with no home and no person feeding or caring for him or her.

I would like to ask anyone who has any spare funds to help with Cliff Arquette’s and James Dean’s vet bills. We did not anticipate the level of care these dogs would need and if you can, please help. Any funds coming to us we will put into the vet care for Cliff and James. We will soon keep you updated on their health progress so that you will know how they are doing.

If you can’t send money, say a little pray for Cliff and James. Do both if you can.

Again, thank you from the bottom of Scooter’s little heart.
