The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 12:08 p.m. Thursday from the 16000 block of Old Mill Street reporting a burglary. The caller said an air-conditioning unit was missing.

Later, at 6:05 p.m., a caller from the 15000 block of Ricky Court reported receiving a call from a man who said he was hired to kill the caller.

The Nevada City Police Department received a call today at 1:18 a.m. from a woman on the 100 block of Lark Street reporting that her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend had vandalized her vehicle.
