A man from the 15000 block of Monte Vista Drive called the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office at 1:43 a.m. today to report that a bear was getting into his trash. He was referred to the California Department of Fish and Game. But he called back repeatedly, wanted officers to contact him and turned hostile.

Later at 2:37 a.m., a woman called from the 11000 block of Streeter Road saying she found two men in her closet. She said she didn’t know who they were and that they left in an unknown vehicle.
