Items from the Police Blotter

A woman from the 13000 block of Toby Trail called the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office at 11:31 a.m. Monday to report a bear in her front yard.

Later at 7:53 p.m., a woman from the 12000 block of Red Quartz Lane reported that her friend called her from her boyfriend’s house saying he had broken her phone and was hitting her. The woman reported that her friend said, “he’s coming,” and then the phone went dead.

At 9:37 p.m., a caller from the 10000 block of Old Pond Lane reported having a physical altercation with a juvenile.
