A man from the 10000 block of Boulder Street called the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office about receiving a check for $3,900 in the mail from a company that claimed he won $55,000. At 11:27 a.m., a man from the 16000 block of Dog Bar Road reported that a person tried to run him over while he was riding home on his bike. The person then started a verbal argument with the man, he said. The man wanted sheriff’s deputies to contact the person and reprimand the person over the incident.

Later at 8 p.m., a man from the 10000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported trespassers on his property, who were harassing him all day and got him attacked with pit bulls. The man said he shot two dogs in the rear.
