A man came to the Nevada City Police Department at 9:27 a.m. Monday to report an assault that happened July 13. The man said his jaw was broken in four places and that he had x-ray reports to prove it.

A woman from the 17000 block of Misty Dawn Lane called the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office at 6:57 p.m. Monday saying she was in a verbal argument with her husband when her husband grabbed her throat. The woman said her husband was at home and everything as O.K.

At 12:56 a.m. today, a caller from Tranquility Lane reported hearing multiple shots near the airport.
