A woman from the 13000 block of Torrey Pines Drive called the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office at 9:16 a.m. Sunday and reported that her 2-year-old daughter came back after visiting her father, with a cigarette burn on her cheek. The woman said her daughter didn’t need medical attention.

At 1:29 p.m., the Nevada City Police Department got a call from the intersection of Broad Street and Bennett Street. The caller said a two-door silver vehicle had rolled downhill into the sidewalk and was blocking the roadway.

The sheriff’s office got a call at 3:43 a.m. Monday from a person on the 14000 block of Bear Claw Court reporting the presence of a bear at the caller’s residence.
