Intervention training offered by DVSAC

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition and Sierra College will offer a course on domestic violence and sexual assault intervention.

The 11-week course meets from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning March 5, at the firehouse on the college’s Grass Valley campus. Selected candidates could become DVSAC volunteer crisis counselors.

The training meets the state Office of Criminal Justice Planning requirements for domestic violence and sexual assault crisis intervention counselors.

For more information, call Nisanda Albaugh, DVSAC volunteer coordinator, at 272-2046.
