Here we go with the habitat sanitation, blackberry and scotch broom enhancement projects along Deer Creek. Why are you clearing on a creek? Last I checked, fire does not cross water. Many riparian species along the creek are not even flammable. You will clear potentially low flammable, high quality riparian habitat and end up with flammable grasses and weeds and no wildlife.

I hope you get your proper permits. Riparian areas are considered some of the most sensitive habitat left in the state of California.

It sickens me to see the deception that we can clear our way out of fire danger. Get a steel roof. This will save you far more than junking our native, big-leaf maples will. Misplaced reactivity will not save your home.
