‘Inimim Forest work party to clear brush

A workday and field trip will be Saturday for people who want to learn more about the brush-clearing work being done in the ‘Inimim Forest.

It’s roughly 1,500 acres of forested Bureau of Land Management land on San Juan Ridge managed under a plan developed with help from the Yuba Watershed Institute, a nonprofit environmental group.

To join the work party, meet at 9 a.m. at the North Columbia Schoolhouse at 17894 Tyler Foote Crossing Road. For the field trip, meet at 12:30 p.m. For information, call 470-0348.
