Indian Springs to host benefit for nursery school

What do wine, silly hats and gourmet hors d’oeuvres have to do with preschool children?

It’s the Tall Pines Nursery School annual “Hats Off to Wine” fundraising event. The nonprofit preschool for 3- to 5-year-olds depends on parent involvement and donations. The wine-tasting fundraiser is one of many held throughout the year.

The event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., March 16, at the Indian Springs Vineyard tasting room, 303 Broad St. in Nevada City. Gourmet hors d’oeuvres will be served, and silly hats are encouraged.

“This is our big one,” said parent organizer Nicole Schug, who hopes to raise $5,000. Tickets cost $20.

To reserve tickets, call Nicole Kiser at 273-8841 or Schug at 477-8987. There are 75 seats available.
