Horsewoman’s condition improves

A south Nevada County woman once in critical condition after falling off a horse has improved to fair condition, according to a Sutter Roseville Medical Center spokeswoman Tuesday.

Karen Chapman suffered a head injury falling from a horse Jan. 3 on Wiggens Way, northwest of Highway 49 and Wolf Road.

Meanwhile, Robert Mabe, a 20-year-old man injured Jan. 20 in a Magnolia Road crash, remained in critical condition, according to the medical center spokeswoman.
