A 43-year-old south Nevada County woman hurt falling from a horse three weeks ago has been upgraded to serious condition, according to a Sutter Roseville Medical Center supervising nurse.

Karen Chapman had been in critical condition from the Jan. 3 accident off Wiggens Way, northwest of Highway 49 and Wolf Road.

Meanwhile, Robert Mabe, a 20-year-old Grass Valley man hurt in a Jan. 19 crash off Magnolia Road, remained in critical condition, the medical center nurse said.
