Holbrooke employee fund started

A fund has been opened to help employees of the Holbrooke Hotel who still are owed wages from the last two weeks of December, when management company Atlantic First Holdings allegedly defaulted on its contract.

The company had been leasing the historic hotel in downtown Grass Valley with an option to buy, but CEO Randolph Hudson left

Grass Valley suddenly on Dec. 28. The partners who own the property resumed managing the hotel Jan. 5, but have said they cannot cover the outstanding payroll from Atlantic First’s last two weeks of operation.

The Holbrooke Hotel employee fund is at Citizens Bank, account number 021059910.
