Help our kids: Save your pop tabs

Collecting pop tabs is a great way to teach kids about philanthropy and the importance of recycling and raising funds to help children and their families at the same time!

Why Save Pop Tabs?

Ronald McDonald House (RMH), Sacramento, collects pop tabs instead of entire aluminum cans because it’s more hygienic to store tabs than cans, and collection and storage is easier. The program is an easy way for people of all ages to support RMH and know they are making a difference for families and children. What Do We Do With the Pop Tabs?

The pop tabs collected are turned in and weighed to determine their value. The proceeds collected from recycling helps fund the RHM. In 2014 they collected $11,500 in pop tab donations.

What Does It Take to Collect Pop Tabs?

It’s so easy! While we encourage you to recycle your entire can, we ask you to save just the tabs for RMH. A simple sandwich bag in your kitchen is enough to get you started.

Collection stations are located at the Administration Office, the Community Center and the bar in the tent at the golf course.

This is sponsored by your Lake Wildwood Community Relations Committee.
