Health care overhaul

Whether one supports or opposes the health care bill, it is a relief to hear the legislation increasingly referred to as an “overhaul” rather than “reform.”

Personally, as a supporter of the bill, I see it as a promising beginning but a long way from the genuine health reform needed by the people of our nation.

One thing that must be clear to each of us is that even the best legislation won’t solve all our rising health problems.

We as individuals must increase our efforts to find out, understand and put into practice those measures which promise to maintain our own personal health as well as that of our dependents.
