Habitat for Humanity opens supply store

The Union staff

Nevada County Habitat for Humanity ReStore, a retail building material supply store selling recycled and new materials will open Friday in the Loma Rica area at 13345 Grass Valley Ave.

As a discount home improvement center, a wide variety of new and used building materials will be offered at reduced prices.

The projected revenues generated from ReStore will further help Nevada County Habitat for Humanity build affordable housing for low income families in the community.

Initially, ReStore will be open for business Fridays and Saturdays with telephone service available Monday through Saturday.

ReStore depends upon community donations from both individuals and local building material supply companies to stock its shelves. Visit the Habitat Web site (nchabitat@nccn.net) for a list of appropriate materials, or call 274-1951.

In addition, cash donations from Habitat for Humanity suppoers will also enable ReStore to purchase new materials for the store.
