Habitat breaks ground on new home

Habitat for Humanity Nevada County broke ground on the latest home in its Joyce Drive development Sunday with an appreciative audience of about 60 people, including Grass Valley Mayor Dan Miller.

Habitat for Humanity Nevada County broke ground on the latest home in its Joyce Drive development Sunday with an appreciative audience of about 60 people, including Grass Valley Mayor Dan Miller.

The event included a groundbreaking by the future homeowner and community leaders, with speakers including Habitat leadership. Pacific Gas & Electric presented a ceremonial check to Habitat, and PG&E volunteers delivered bags of Thanksgiving meal supplies to a number of Habitat families.
