GV man arrested on suspicion of 5 felonies

Police were investigating a Grass Valley man on Monday as a possible suspect in several recent burglaries.

Grass Valley police arrested Anthony William Brock, 28, early Sunday on five felony charges and two misdemeanors.

Brock was arrested in an apartment on the 200 block of Dorsey Drive on suspicion of three counts of felony second-degree burglary, one count of felony vandalism, two counts of misdemeanor vandalism, and one count of felony grand theft.

Officers booked him into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility at 2:02 a.m. Sunday.

Brock is a maintenance worker, according to the booking report released by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

He was booked in lieu of $80,000 bail and was still in custody as of Monday afternoon, a county official said.

Grass Valley Police Chief John Foster would not say which incidents Brock is suspected of being involved in, but said more information would be released later this week.
