Groups gather to protest child separation

Representatives from Indivisible Women of Nevada County's Immigration Action Alliance, Racial Literacy, Creating Communities Beyond Bias, and Nevada City Co-Housing, gathered on the Interstate 80 and the Bell Road overpass to protest the current practice of separating immigrant children from families at the border. Orgainizers said at least 25 freeway overpasses in the region were occupied with similar messages and more than 20 social justice groups took part in the effort.
