Grass Valley Fire strike team deployed

Grass Valley Fire OES had deployed to the Saddle Fire in Butte County south of Paradise. As of Tuesday afternoon, the fire was at 840 acres, with 10 percent containment. Three structures have been reported as destroyed, with 300 threatened. Five fires started on Pentz Road and rapidly grew in size; the fires are burning on both sides of the west branch of the Feather River. Grass Valley OES 334 met four other OES engines to form a strike team Tuesday morning; crews are currently assigned to the line.
