A small fire scorched grass and brushland Tuesday afternoon. It started in a yard in the 14000 block of Maverick Lane in Grass Valley. A resident on the street estimated that it burned about two acres. “It started in the yard of a neighbor and jumped to our back yard,” Chris Glass said.
