Getting to know you

When it comes to The Union’s staff, the sum is better than the parts. We also believe in transparency in community journalism.

We’re an engaging, diverse group of people. In fact, we’re a microcosm of the community: Parents raising children in your neighborhoods, parents with children in Iraq, community volunteers, homeowners, renters, bike riders, marathon runners, fishermen, horse owners, gardeners, oil painters, poets, aunts and uncles, expert meat smokers, vegetarians and violinists.

We’d like you to get to know each one of us better. Feel free to invite us to your community events, schools, retirement homes or for speaking engagements. Or make an appointment and come visit us at the newspaper.

You can contact Trina Kleist (trinak@theunion.com or 477-4230) or Jeff Pelline (jeffp@theunion.com or 477-4235)). You can always read our bios online at http://www.theunion.com/section/MISC01.

We look forward to hearing from you.
