Get your special ed child organized

Many children with special education needs could do better in school with improved organizational skills.

Nevada County Special Education, a nonprofit group, is inviting parents, caregivers and teachers to a video presentation of “Getting Organized/Work Habits.” It explores how difficulties with these habits can interfere with a student’s success.

More importantly: The video also offers practical strategies both teachers and parents can use to help students succeed. An informal discussion will follow.

The presentation will be held twice on Tuesday, Nov. 2: from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The meeting will be at the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools Annex, 117 New Mohawk Road, Suite F, Nevada City.
