Gerard Tassone honored with star

A new city star honoring longtime Grass Valley City Council member and volunteer Gerard Tassone was uncovered Saturday morning at the corner of East Main and South Auburn Street, Grass Valley. Tassone was a planning commissioner, a City Council member for 19 years (through 2006) and a volunteer for Grass Valley Police to this day.

A small crowd gathered under canopies because of the rain that was forecast for the day, and attendees walked over to Kane’s for cake and Champagne.
