Free Medicare meetings offered in Nevada County

Knowing your choices and deadlines for Medicare enrollment here in Nevada County is the key to avoiding delays and penalties.

Free community meetings, held each month, are designed to bring clarity to the options here in Nevada County.

Attendees will learn plan choices, time frames, liabilities and how to avoid lifetime penalties.



After the meeting, qualified attendees will be able to enroll in a plan or make changes to an existing plan.

Two meetings will be offered next week for county residents: 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Players Pizza, 10161 Commercial Ave., Penn Valley; and 2 p.m. Thursday, at Lumberjack’s Restaurant, 2075 Nevada City Hwy., Grass Valley.




The meetings are free of charge and will be conducted by Nevada County resident Bill Anderson, who is a charter member of the Independent Career Agent Council made up of the top 1 percent of agents in the western United States.

He serves over 600 clients, at no charge and is authorized to provide, present and explain Medicare Supplements, Part D Drug plans, and the Medicare Advantage plans specific to Nevada County.

Those attending may find it helpful to bring their list of drugs, Medicare card and doctor information.

Registration is not required but appreciated.
