Free fitness seminar for seniors

For seniors wanting to get in shape – and those who are helping them – the Lutz Center Adult Day Services is offering a free fitness seminar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 7, including a luncheon buffet.

The seminar will help those wanting to start or improve an exercise regimen and professionals assisting seniors or implementing health and fitness programs.

There will be presentations from the Senior Fall Prevention Project of Nevada County. Keynote speaker Janet Brady will introduce the Interactive Health Partner program and the award-winning “Fitness Forever” video for healthy aging.

The Lutz Center also is recruiting 100 participants for its medical fitness pilot study, and seminar participants will be able to sign up. Seminar space is limited. To register, call 265-0605 or e-mail colleen.bond@sbcglobal.net.
