Foothill Theatre fundraiser tops $25,000

As of Monday, the Save the Foothill Theatre Company Campaign said it has raised more than $25,000.

The donations come from individuals giving anywhere from $10 to $2,500.

The donors also come from all over the state and country including New York, Auburn, Laguna Niguel, South Lake Tahoe, Reno, San Francisco, Berkeley, Lincoln, Meadow Vista, Sacramento, Davis and Marina Del Ray.



Businesses are helping out too. Linda Cary, owner of the Wooden Spoon kitchen store in the Fowler Center is donating 10 percent of her sales from Saturday and Sunday to the Foothill Theatre campaign.

A Foothill Theatre benefit concert is planned for Thursday night at the Miners Foundry, 325 Spring Street.




The benefit will feature the bands Starpeople and Seam Split, The Razzmatazz dance group and various entertaining segments from FTC artists. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and all ages are invited.
