Fly like an Eagle scout

John McChristian’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor took place in June at the Veterans’ Memorial Building in Grass Valley. He was a member of the Cub Scout Pack 854 for three years before bridging to Scout Troop 787. During his four years in Troop 787, John earned 22 merit badges. John’s Eagle Scout project was done at the Veterans’ Memorial Building in Grass Valley where he organized the renovation of the flagpole. He retired the old flags and with the help of the American Legion raised a new United States flag and a new P.O.W. flag. John will be a sophomore at Bear River High School this month, where he is an honor student.
