Fire victims fund-raiser set

A fund-raiser, “Buck$ for Tuck’s and their Neighbors,” will be on May 4 and May 5 at Gold Bowl in Grass Valley.

“Helping our neighbors is the community thing to do,” Gold Bowl owner Jack Cramer said. “It’s a feeling of community spirit.”

All proceeds will go to the Nevada City Fire Relief Fund, administered by the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce and the Nevada County Cultural Preservation Trust. Funds go to workers and performers displaced from the March 20 fire in Nevada City.

Anyone can participate in the fund-raiser, either individually or with a team.

The fund-raiser starts at 9 a.m. both days. Gold Bowl is at 115 Bank St.

Reserve a space by calling Gold Bowl at 274-2695 or 477 6815 by May 3.
