Fire Safe Council of Nevada County seeks fair booth volunteers

The Fire Safe Council of Nevada County is sharing a booth at the Nevada County Fair Aug. 9-13. The group is asking for volunteers to help man the booth.

No special training or education is required to help staff the booth and volunteers would get a free ticket to that day’s fair.

According to a Fire Safe Council release, most visitors are there to enjoy the fair and ask general questions and many simply stop by for a chipping form. The Fire Safe Council shares a booth with Cal Fire and the Forest Service, so if there is a question a volunteer can’t answer others may be able to assist.

The following shifts are in need of volunteers: 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., 12:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. Their are two volunteers for each shift.

To volunteer, email info@areyoufiresafe.com or call 530-272-1122 to indicate the date and time you would be willing to volunteer for.
