Fire destroys Peardale home

The structure fire on Side Bet Road off You Bet Road, Wednesday evening. Ophir Hill, Chicago Park, Calfire, and Placer Hills Fire Departments, air tankers, and air attack planes responded to the fire.

A residence on Side Bet Road off Highway 174 was mostly destroyed by a fire Wednesday night.

The fire was reported at about 6:45 p.m., and firefighters from Peardale-Chicago Park, Ophir Hill and Cal Fire responded. An air unit from Placer Hills also assisted in fighting the blaze.

The residents of the double-wide mobile home, which was on a foundation, were not home when the fire started. No injuries were reported.



Firefighters were on scene until about midnight, and the cause of the fire had not been determined. The residence was believed to be a complete loss.
