Fee Free Day at Tahoe National Forest Sept. 24

The Tahoe National Forest is encouraging everyone to get outdoors and go play today in observance of National Public Lands Day.

In its 23rd year, National Public Lands Day is designated as a fee-free day for all federal public lands and many state parks. Fees associated with Day Use areas will be waived on Saturday.

Enjoy some boating, hiking, fishing, or camping, or simply learn more about federal public lands and the plants and wildlife that live there.

“We invite you to bring your family out to the TNF to enjoy the great outdoors and celebrate the lands, hike the trails systems or camp in our campgrounds. Build a memory that will last a lifetime,” said Teresa Benson, Deputy Forest Supervisor.
