Fall Family Fest Friday, rain or shine

The annual Fall Family Festival at Twin Cities Church which takes place on Oct. 31 will go on this year, rain or shine. Should it rain Friday, the entire event will move inside the Twin Cities building and will include bounce houses, cake walks, craft zone, fencing provided by Nevada County Fencing Club, and tons of carnival type games.

A special pre-school zone for the littlest people will provide an atmosphere of fun with a little less chaos.

Free candy will be handed out over the course of the evening.

The free community event will also feature live acoustic music by several local artists and reasonably priced dinner/snack items including hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches. Also available will be the usual carnival-type food including freshly made cotton candy, popcorn, nachos. A coffee bar will be in full operation serving coffeehouse-style specialty drinks. In the event of rain, there won’t be any animals, hay ride, horse drawn carriage and hot air balloon rides.

The Fall Family Festival is from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church, 11726 Rough & Ready Hwy in Grass Valley. For more information, call the church office at 530-273-6425.
