Expeditionary learning academy opens

On Friday, students, staff, board members, families and community members attended a school-wide ceremony to celebrate the successful opening of the Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, a new high school in our community.

“We had a great first week and are proud to have such a solid group of founding students and staff,” said Principal Erica Crane. “We are crew, not passengers, at SAEL, and it shows.”

The Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning still has some room available in the ninth and 10th grades for those interested in joining the more than 65 students already in attendance. For more information, go to http://www.sierra academy.net.
