Employee salary negotiations continue in closed session at NID

Bargaining over staff salary, benefits and working conditions continue in closed session Wednesday at the Nevada Irrigation District board meeting.

The board will “provide direction to the district’s designated bargaining representatives,” General Manager Ron Nelson, Assistant General Manager Tim Crough, Hydroelectric Maintenance and Operations Superintendent Bill Morrow, Human Resources Manager Yvonne DuBose and District Counsel Jeff Meith, who are bargaining on the behalf of all district employees.

In open session, starting at 10 a.m., the board will here a presentation on state water issues by Rita Schmidt Sudman of the Water Education Foundation, introduce new employees Larry Martin and Robert Granholm and consider spending $1,388 to send employees to a five day course in Sacramento on Fiber Optic Modules.

The special meeting starts at 9 a.m. in closed session, 10 a.m. open, on Wednesday Sept. 22, at 1036 W. Main St., Grass Valley.
