DVSAC to host event for moms and sons

For years, local moms have envied the very popular DVSAC Daddy Daughter Dance, and they have been requesting an event of their own that would promote healthy mother and son relationships.

On Saturday, July 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., DVSAC will host its first ever Mom and Son Picnic Games at Pioneer Park in Nevada City. Moms and sons will enjoy fun activities, games and competitions such as “Minute to Win it” games, obstacle course relay races, Zorb Balls (large plastic ball you enter and roll around the field in) and a bounce house. The cost is $15 per person which includes a picnic lunch, fun and prizes. Tickets available online at http://www.dvsac.org. RSVP so organizers can plan for food.
