Mark your calendar for the annual Antique Bottles & Collectibles Show and Sale on Sept. 13 in Downieville.

The Downieville Antique Bottle Show’s reputation has grown since the first show started 21 years ago and is extremely popular among antique enthusiasts. More than 40 dealers from several Western states will be featuring a wide selection of antiques.

In addition to antique bottles, you will find a mix of insulators, gold rush items, advertising, ephemera, stoneware, railroad collectibles, jewelry, saloon, mining and various Western-related artifacts.

“Early lookers” will be admitted for $10 between 8-10 a.m. Admission will be free to all from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. This year’s exhibit of antique bottles will feature Western soda water bottles.

Raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win one of several examples of antique bottles and a gold nugget pendant.

The show venue is the Downieville School gym, which is located in the heart of Downieville. If traveling from the Grass Valley area, expect to arrive in Downieville in about an hour.
