A downed phone line crosses Gold Flat Road near Searls Avenue in Nevada City on Tuesday. A Robinson Enterprises truck with a log loader accidentally knocked the line down around 12:10 p.m., delaying traffic. A spokeswoman with SBC Pacific Bell said 25 business phone numbers went dead, and the line was expected to be replaced by 10 p.m. Tuesday. Nevada City police and the California Highway Patrol directed traffic. The Nevada City Fire Department also responded.
