Dinner, raffle to aid Martin family

A dinner and raffle to benefit the family of Larry and Lena Martin will take place Monday at the Tack Room Restaurant in Penn Valley.

The Martins’ nine-day-old daughter, Mary Jordon Martin, died Aug. 22, and the benefit is being held to help defray expenses for the family, which owns Larry and Lena’s Pizza & Grill in Alta Sierra.

A steak dinner for adults and a spaghetti meal for children will be served starting at 5 p.m. A raffle of gift certificates and other items will be help during the evening.

Dinner is $25 for adults and $10 for children. The food is being donated by the Tack Room, and the restaurant’s employees are donating their time. All proceeds from the dinner and raffle will go to the Martin family.

The Tack Room is located at 17356 Penn Valley Drive.
